5 — 7 Years Old

We build strong foundations in Literacy and Numeracy by following Australian curriculum documents. Children are also exposed to core subjects of Thai language and Culture, Social Studies, The Arts, Science, Personal, Social and Physical Education and ICT through a range of learning experiences that encourage discovery  and exploration through the inquiry process of learning. Children are naturally curious and their love of learning is actively encouraged and nurtured at Gecko.

We instill a desire for and a belief in life-long learning by recognising that each child is unique and brings specific creative talents that need to be fostered.  We recognise that children respond to different experiences and have different learning styles. ‘Passion projects’ are encouraged and provide exciting opportunities for children to pursue something they are enthusiastic about. This allows the children to become independent learners as they tap into their interests as a vehicle for driving their learning forward.  Through these projects children will become more aware of how their passion impacts them as learners and how they can connect with their community through their passion.
